Swimming in the pond and what not to do on pain meds.

A couple of weeks ago I went to the dentist only to find out that I was going to have to have a tooth pulled..AHHH! As a child that doesn't seem so bad but as an adult this is an almost tearful event. A week after this I was told that the pain was what they called a "dry socket'. Weird words for a reason to be put on vicodin.
Since pain meds are such a wonderful thing..what can really be better than starring at the wall for 10 solid minutes and having nothing to worry about. YEAH!!
We all need a brain break every once in a while..
But here are a few things not to do on painkillers

Take the dog for a Walk
This feels like a long crawl thru sand. A block can feel like a marathon in quicksand.
Try this one..it is really fun :)

Drive
This is seriously dangerous and should never happen even though I know people do it every day...really stupid!

Chew
You can forget you have a tongue and chew it off..HAHA!

Clean the fish filter in your pond
This is funny but can be dangerous. I decided to do this after my first dose of vicodin.
Leaning over the pond I actually fell headfirst into the pond. Now getting out of a pond at 65 with shoes on is a tough thing to do. The water is seriously cold and the bottom is slimy so getting footing is really hard. Then pulling your self out is a feat in itself. Not to talk about the bird poo and fish poo that you swallow...AHHHH!!

Basically what I have learned is this...don't walk, chew, or try to function like you do normally just sleep on pain meds. and definitely don't try to do some tasks that require balance.

or you may be
Swimming with the fishes like I did...Have a good one. Deb
